Field trips

There is nothing like going out bush and collecting your own minerals on a field trip with friends from the society

About field trips

One of the most enjoyable methods of collecting is finding mineral specimens yourself. Along the way, you are out of the city exploring the countryside or the bush, exercising, making friends, and learning some mineralogy and history. The Society organises field trips to a variety of sites every few months. Trips are well-organised with an emphasis on safety and enjoyment.
